Big MLM Tip - Be the Hunted, Not the Hunter

I realize this statement is reversed from the way it is normally said, but if you are practicing Attraction Network Marketing, this way is more accurate. You want people looking for you.


It takes time to build such a reputation, but it will pay off in the long run. Building a reputation as a trusted leader is no small task, especially when so many are trying to do the same thing.


The concept is simple really. Offer something of value to those around you. I could give examples, but I do not want get you focused on one or two things. It would be much better if you come up with an idea on your own.

Just think about the things you need for your business, and offer to help others with the same needs. Ask yourself these 3 questions:

What is my biggest need in my business right now?

How can I address it?

How can I help others do the same?

If you can answer these three questions, you are well on your way to establishing an Attraction Network Marketing campaign that will surely yield the results you seek.

Big MLM Tip - Building Your Brand via Social Media

Picking up from yesterday's post, you now have a friend base. This helps lend credibility moving forward. It is hard to brand yourself as an expert when you only have 3 friends, one of whom is your mom. 

Alright, let's start building Your Brand presence. We will continue to focus on facebook for now, but you will want to be utilizing as many other networks as possible as well. Your Brand needs to be represented in as many places as possible. For instance, I frerquently have people tell me things like, "You are everywhere", or "I keep seeing you pop up all over the place". That is when you know your branding efforts are working. 

If you set up your Facebook presence as outlined yesterday, you now have several groups in which to start working. The idea is to offer value to the people who read what you write. If you write a blog, add your blog posts to the groups. Remember, helpful blogs attract. Blogs that arer overly promotional get ignored. Be helpful whenever you can. 

A couple good way to get people to notice you is to share their content on social media and bookmarking sites (known as blog syndication) and through blog commenting. Tomorrow we will look at these two methods of gaining exposure as well as a list of some Facebook groups you may want to check out.

There is no doubt that social media is fertile ground when it comes to generating free leads for MLM. Sadly, most people go about it wrong. 

What's worse is, everyone and their brother claims to be an expert at social media, and if you pay them $49.95 they will prove it to you. 

Here's a BIG MLM TIP for you... SAVE YOUR MONEY. 

You do not need to spend money to learn how to make the most of social media. All you need to do is find a few people who are making it work and watch what they do. 

Want a good place to start? Here are 3 Facebook groups that you should be following. They are not yet large groups, the members are a good example.

Syndication Elation is my group. The members post their blog posts to the group wall and other members syndicate it across various social sites. We are all starting to see a serious bump in traffic and search engine rankings as a result.

Sharing Marketing Solutions For Free is a group that was started by my good friend Wendell Bulbaai . This is another great group where members share their tactics, experiences and knowledge with the group.

What these groups have in common is, they are full of professionals. You will not find spammers and the like here. I suggest joining this groups and getting to know the members. You will learn a lot from them.

Big MLM Tip of the Day: The Answer is… More than 60%

Look up that stats if you like. Almost any sales job, from insurance to real estate or new car sales, has a really high attrition rate. How high? In almost all sales jobs, more than 60% quit before they ever earn a single commission. 

Given these facts, why do so many in MLM treat it like a sales business? Do you want to follow such a failed model? I don't. 

I've said it before. MLM is a people business. More importantly, it's a coaching and mentoring business. You need the right coaching and mentoring so that you can go out and do the same for others. Find a good training system that stresses relationships, not sales, and you'll be on the right path.
