You have been recommending products since you were 5 or even younger. From the first time you saw that new toy on TV and told your parents how great it was, you were taking part in word of mouth marketing.
Why not get paid for it?
In short, that is the primary function of network marketing. You recommend products or services to others, then help them learn how to recommend them to still others. There just happens to be a compensation plan attached so that you each get a portion of the profits from these sales.
Seems simple right?
There are a lot of MLM failure stories out there that suggest it is not so simple. Without a good coaching and mentoring program, including methods on how to create MLM leads online, you are going to struggle.
With a solid duplicatable system, all that is left is your effort. Check the MENTORING RESOURCES page for such a system.

MLM Failure: the Bottom Line
We have spoken for the past few days about why so many people fail in MLM and why it is NOT YOUR FAULT.
All of these boil back down to two words. These two words are the root cause of over 90% of the MLM failure experienced in the world.
Be it with the company or the upline, if Greed and Ego get in the way, failure is certain. Remove the agenda, make it ALL about the people, and success will come much easier.
If you primary motivation is the money, you are making a mistake. Put people first and let everything else fall in place from there.

GREED AND EGO!

Big MLM Tip of the Day: The Top 3 Reasons for MLM Failure #3
Reason #3: Lack of Company Integrity
This is the worst of the reasons for failure in MLM because it is often intentionally done.
Many people have built large organizations just to see it all disappear almost overnight. With a single clause in the distributor contract, the company can terminate you for any or no reason.
That is bad enough, but there are other ways companies do shady deals. One what I like to refer to as the "no company" scam. A supposed new company with a much hyped pre-launch will offer incentives to join before the launch date. These people never intend to actually run a company; they only want the list of people who signed up so they can sell it to a leads company.
There is big money to be made from this. If you have read my post on why buying leads is a scam, I talked about this in more detail.
Suffice it to say, if your company has an ethics issue, it could seriously impact your business. If a company has to tell you they have integrity, then they likely do not.
I've said it before, and will many times again. Do your HOMEWORK and investigate any company you are considering prior to joining.

Big MLM Tip of the Day: Buying Leads is a SCAM
To put it more bluntly, buying leads is a scam, and another reason for so much MLM failure.
These so called "targeted leads" or "pre-screened leads" are nothing of the sort. They often times come right off the list of a failed MLM company.
More than 90% of MLM companies fail within 2 years. In an attempt to make a little extra money as the company collapses, they often sell their list of distributors to a leads company.
Sometimes a company will gather a lot of leads from offering huge pre-launch incenties, then never actyally launch. These leads are then sold for a nice profit.
Do you want to be chasing the same leads that hundreds of other people got from the same list or would you rather start getting people coming to YOU?
If you really want to learn how to pull leads like a Clydesdale, then go to the Mentoring Resources page and click on the Mentoring For Free link.
Not only does Mentoring For Free offer outstanding free training, 5 nights a week, but there is also a complete leads generating system available.
Yes, there is a small monthly fee for the prospecting system, but two things to keep in mind. This is NOT an affiliate program. I earn nothing from your use of these tools, so you do not have to worry about any hidden agenda.
Second, if you were to go out and get each of the services provided it would cost a small fortune to get started and anywhere from 50-80 or so dollars recurring monthly.
Now, for under $20 a month, it’s a really good deal.

Big MLM Tip of the Day: This One Word Can Ruin a Busiess
If you see a site promoting "spillover", it will be almost impossible to build a long term business there.
The word spillover implies something for nothing. This will attract people who are looking for exactly that, something for nothing. Following such a model is a recipe for mlm failure.
Such a welfare mentality will not help. You will be forced to build under that person, and likely fill a downline full of people looking for an easy way out.
Another thing to avoid along these same lines is any program that tells you they will "pay your way in". The same thing applies.
What is to keep these people engaged? Nothing, they never were engaged. People will drop out as fast as they come on.
Something for nothing does not exist.

It's Been a Week and I'm LOVING It!
Hello all. I just wanted to say that it has been a week since I started this new blog and I'm really happy that so many have already found it a valuable resource. I want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been so helpful and given me such great feedback.
The plan is to cover a lot of material on a variety of topics. In the coming weeks we will look at several areas of a successful network marketing business. Some of these topics will require a bit more information to be relayed, so keep an eye out for the series posts that will be coming soon. These will be anywhere from3 to 5 parts series on a particular subject.
A strong focus of this blog will be on why previous MLM failure is not your fault. We will also discuss other topics such as how to create MLM business leads, being a mentor and other methods to help grow your MLM business.
Thanks again to all who have visited.

Big MLM Tip of the Day: It's Not Your Fault
If you have failed I network marketing before, welcome to the club. MLM failure is a common occurrence.
Most of us have. Sometimes it's the company, and often it is antiquated teaching from the upline.
The proper training, inducing how to select a company, can make all the difference. This does not need to cost a small fortune either. There is a lot of great training available for free if you know where to look.
Visit our Mentoring Resources page for more information on where to find great free training and other networking how to information.

Big MLM Tip of the Day Do Your Homework
You should research any company before you consider joining. Most MLM failure can be tracked back to a poorly run company.
Do a Google search on the company and put the word "scam" after the company name.
Do searches on the company owners and the person trying to recruit you. If the website does not list an owner's name or some sort of contact info, RUN. See what kind of experience these people have.
From there you can make a more informed decision.
If you would like to know more about how to select a company, I suggest downloading the following MP3 file and giving it a listen.
