Big MLM Tip of the Day: Produce a Leader Today

Are you building a downline or are you building up leaders? Do you know the difference?

Anyone can go out prospecting for leads and grab up a bunch of referrals. If you never follow up with these people, you will never build any relationships. They will be gone just as quickly as they came.

If you follow up, and are there for your people every step of the way, you will turn many of them into strong leaders. Then, that person can take the torch and pass it along to others. 

If you are not being a coach and a mentor, you will not make it long in this industry. 

If you are just getting started, lean on others. Draw from the experiences of your own coach and mentor. If you do not have one, get one quick. To be a mentor, you MUST have a mentor.

Big MLM Tip of the Day: How NOT to Use Facebook

There are a lot of people out there going about marketing on Facebook all wrong. 

They will go to great lengths in filling out their profile, and not put any contact email there. If you are marketing, wouldn't you want people to be able to contact you? 

Others never put anything on their profile except for a link to whatever they are promoting. This looks unprofessional and nobody is going to click that link. 

The most common mistake though is flooding Facebook with your links in as many places as possible. You especially should not post promotional links on someone else wall or in a direct message at first contact. 

Remember, it is called "Social" Media for a reason.

Big MLM Tip of the Day: MLM is NOT a Sales Business

Fact: Almost all sales jobs have a 60 to 80% attrition rate, before a single sale has bee made. Why would you follow such a failed model? 


MLM is a people business, or more accurately, a mentoring and coaching business. 


If you are trying to sell people, you are setting yourself up for failure. If you focus on building relationships, your business will grow as a byproduct. 


Just know, many of the people you get to know may not join your business, and that's okay. Be just as helpful to those people as you are to the people who join your business.
