BIG MLM Myths #1: "Your warm market (family and friends) are a great way to get started in MLM." - Are you kidding me? This didn't work 20 or 30 years ago and it does not work today. These people know you too well. Save this "warm market" for later when you have some proof to show them.
BIG MLM Myths #2: "Those things never work" - This is a common one. Almost everyone knows of someone who has tried an MLM business before. Most people have been approached with the concept. When you hear someone say this, a good answer would be, "You are right. When done the way it's been done for the past several decades, it won't work. Care to see how it WILL work?"
BIG MLM Myths #3: "You Have to Have great products". Yes, you do, but... Great products are a standard in the industry. Focusing on the merits of your product will get you nowhere. Yes, you have to have a great product, but since everyone else does to, what makes you different? Hint: it's YOU.

BIG MLM Myths #5:"MLM is a Sales Business" Nothing could be farther from the truth. MLM is a Coaching and Mentoring business. In short, it's a people business. Why spend your time studying the products, pay plans or bonus structure? Study PEOPLE. You need to know a bit about those other things, because people will ask questions, but I would not spend much energy there. Learn the personality types and how to prospect and coach each. Nothing will do more for your business.
