Big MLM Tip of the Day: The Easy Way to Spot a Scam

For starters, there are no illegal network marketing companies. There are, however, many illegal programs out there trying to act like legitimate network marketing companies.

So, how do you quickly tell the difference? There are two quick tests you can do to find out.

#1. Ask yourself, "Is there a tangible product or service being offered?" Is the product something you can actually hold in your hand? If it's a service, is it actually something you can use? Is it a recurring billing or a one time fee? If it passes this test, go to #2. If not, head for the nearest exit before the men in the black coats come to shut it down.

#2. Ask yourself, "When the recruiting stops, what happens to the income?" If it is some sort of front end loaded program, say purchasing a big ticket item one time, there is likely a problem. With this type of business, the only way to keep income rolling in is from recruiting new members. This is also illegal, and sooner or later, it WILL get shut down.Worse yet, the authorities are now starting to go after the top income earners as well as the parent company.

I hope this helps some of you. If you would like more info o this or any other topic, feel free to email me at the address on the About Me page.

Blog Post to Share: Promoting YOUR Blog

I wanted to share a blog post from a friend of mine by the name of  Adrienne Smith. Adrienne is a successful internet affiliate marketer, so she knows a good bit about promoting websites, including blogs. In her post, Adrienne covers many great methods for promoting a blog, although many of the methods could be used for any website. Check out her post at the link below.

30 Ways To Promote Your Blog For Free

Big MLM Tip of the Day: Why Waste Your Time?

You will see a lot of programs offered on the internet that are a complete waste of time.

A couple examples of this are "Pay To Click"(PTC) or ones where you are paid to take surveys. These are popular with newbies because there is no special skill required.

The drawback is, the only way to make anything more than a few cents a day is to recruit others into your downline so that you earn on their efforts too. Unfortunately, unless you recruit thousands of people, the best you can hope for is to earn a few dollars a month.

While these programs are attractive to the newbie, and you can eventually make a little money, a better path would be to find a good MLM company. In the same time it takes you to start earning a few dollars you could be making several hundred, or even thousands, with your MLM business.

You are going to have to recruit either way, so why not focus on something that will have a better return.

Just food for thought.

Coincidence or Divine Inspiration?

Okay, I really do not believe in coincidence. I feel that everything happens for a reason, so I HAD to post this for everyone.

First, a short back story. As many of you know, I started out online as an affiliate marketer. One of the products I promoted was a program called "48 Days to the Work You Love" by Dan Miller. It's a program that helps you tap into your passions to determine what your ideal job would be.

I am no longer looking for my dream job (or any JOB for that matter), nor do I actively promote this any longer. The program is great, I just simply do not have the time to be promoting another program or product. That being said, I still get Dan's newsletter.

Here is the part that caught me as "coincidence", prompting me to want to write this post.

My blog post from this mornings was entitle:

Big MLM Tip of the Day: What is Holding Me Back?

I got Dan Miller's newsletter a bit later, and what was the subject line?

"What's Holding You Back?" Teleseminar TONIGHT!

A portion of the email reads like this:

"What’s holding you back from pursuing your dreams?
Find your focus and fast-forward to the life you want."

So, if anyone is interested in attending, here is the Teleseminar LINK.

Unfortunately, this is NOT a free call. There is a cost of $12. This is not an affiliate link, I am NOT being compensated for this. I just simply could not pass this by.

So, anyone want to tackle the question from the title of this post?

Coincidence or Divine Inspiration?

Big MLM Tip of the Day: What is Holding Me Back?

Could it be ME? Our actions affect our outcome.

Are you letting yourself get distracted from your goal? Is your goal clearly defined?

Sometimes we get "analysis paralysis". We over analyze to the point we do not get anything done. Maybe you lack focus, or the belief that you can do it. Whatever is holding you back, you must overcome it.

Think of your day job. How comfortable are you doing that? I bet you have had years of training and experience so that it comes naturally.

This is no different. You have to work at it to build enough confidence that you can run your business as effortlessly as you work at your day job.

The key to staying motivated is to clearly define "WHY" you want to start your own business. For determining your WHY, read this POST.
