What is driving your team motivation? Do you have to be the cheerleader every month to be sure your team is motivated? If so, how is that working out for you?
Would it not be easier to help each team member find what motivates them ONCE, and not have to cheer them on every month, or every other day in some cases? Trust me, it is much easier.
It is actually simple to do. All you need to do is stress the importance of your partners determining their own personal "WHY". WHY do they want to have their own business?
If you ask most people, their first response will be, "To make more money". It is your job to help them dig a littler deeper. Since only about 15% of the population is truly money motivated, odds are there is more behind their motivation.
So, if you ask why they want to make more money, they may say something like, "To quit my job". That is getting closer, but still not there. Now ask, "So, if you had no money worries, and you did not have to go to a job every day, what would you do?"
Do you see how this process works? You need to keep going until you get them to figure out their root motivator. If you get your people to determine their specific "WHY", they will never stop.
Your "WHY" is what carries you through when things do not appear to be going as well as you would like. It will motivate you to do every thing you can to be successful. Without it, no dream building, image exercises, or even positive self talk will work. Everything else revolves around your "WHY".
What is YOUR "WHY"?
