So many people out there have the belief that, "if only I could find the right company I would be successful". The truth is, a company cannot make you successful, only you can do that.
The same can be said for your sponsor. It is not your sponsor's responsibility to make you successful. It is his or her duty to be sure you have what you need for success, but it is still up to you to act on it.
On the other side of the coin, your sponsor or company is not responsible if you are not successful. Sure, there are deadbeat sponsors out there, but do they prevent you from going upline and finding help? There are even bad companies out there, but you can still see success. You just may need to make a change.
The responsibility for your success or lack thereof falls directly on you. This is why I only work with serious people who are ready to take action.
I am reminded of chapter 1 of "Think and Grow Rich" entitled "Thoughts are Things". In this chapter, Hill points out that, when we are ready, we will persist. The right though process, of being ready to do whatever it takes, is the first step toward success.
Excellent post and so true! We are not meant to be babysitters to our team, but at the same time we should do our part as leaders. However; it is most definitely up to the individual to make his own success by doing whatever it takes. Thanks for sharing Bill!
